"For that I had to succeed in channeling all this
creative, intellectual, operational and financial
power around a common objective, sought by all
regardless

social,

economic

and

cultural

environments and genres or generations. I needed
a course conceivable by all. So I looked for a
common denominator.
It’s in literature and history that I found it. All
civilizations

have

in

history

always

sought

perfection in the making of perfect, luminous, well
governed, model cities of refuge… Literature of the
utopian genre describes it very well. These cities
have a strong power of influence. They leave an
impression because they touch the imagination.
They are also social and political projects. Plato
alluded to it in his cult story: "The city".
The concept of Papillon Source was born: places for
individual and collective experimentation, sharing
of

knowledge,

societal
degraded

incubators

projects,

driving

environments,

for
forces

transformative
regenerating

self-sufficient

places,

showcases of what it could be in the world,
showcases of a better future, schools of a new kind
... on the five continents, all interconnected,
imagined, designed and built by the international
